About
I am a Honolulu, HI based artist devoted to transforming environments through my distinctive style. My art is characterized by playful improvisational forms affectionately known as "squiggles," resulting in vivid and captivating imagery.
Originally from Gaithersburg, MD, my early passion for music and graphic design set the stage for my artistic journey. After completing my studies at the University of Miami in Miami, FL, and gaining experience as a designer, I felt inspired by the city and dissatisfied with the constraints of design led me to painting, where I found personal and creative freedom along with the greater connection and meaning that underlies my art practice.
My work evokes feelings of joy, tranquility, and balance amidst chaos. Serving as a gateway to wonder, escape, and connection, my art invites viewers to immerse themselves in the colors and how the imagery comes together to find solace in the present moment and a stronger connection with where they are, just as I do while creating it. Painting murals is my greatest passion as it allows for the total transformation of a place while telling stories and creating a truly unique connection with a community in the process.
My portfolio boasts over 100 painted murals and various projects commissioned by and in collaboration with a diverse range of organizations, including schools, cities, major brands, mural festivals, music festivals, professional sports teams, private clients, and charity/community projects.All stemming from the first mural I painted in my own apartment.
